Best spreading accuracy
The distribution system is the main part of the equipment and consists of a rotovibrating agitator mounted on bearings, which transports fertilizer to the adjustable delivery point without breaking it. The heart of PRIMO project is the double shutter system. Both gates are controlled by an electric actuator: one adjusts the dose of fertilizer to be distributed, the other adjusts the opening and closing of the material outlet (ON/OFF). The simultaneous and combined shutters use maximises the spreading accuracy in all parts of the field.
In the headland operations, the actuator quickly controls and closes the ON/OFF shutter to avoid spreading of product where it is not required, while the DOSE shutter - located below the first one - continues to move in proportion to tractor speed; when spreading is restarted, the ON/OFF shutter is re-opened at the right position. This ensures that there are no areas of over or under-dosage near the headland and spreading will be uniform in all the different areas of the field, without waste or inefficiency.
The fertilizer drop point section has a special three-lobe shape to ensure homogeneous distribution even with very low volumes. It is possible to anticipate or postpone the delivery point of the fertilizer into the disc to optimise distribution quality.
