EXTREME Series: Hybrid round balers

EXTREME Series 2 round balers by MASCHIO GASPARDO, thanks to a hybrid system, perfectly combine the successful characteristics of fixed and variable chamber round balers. They have been designed to guarantee the greatest combination of bale pressures and sizes, as well as to offer a perfect balance between high performance and maximum ease of use, making them suitable for all types of farms.

The strength of the EXTREME series is the variable chamber, which makes it possible to handle products in the best possible way maintaining their protein content when treated correctly. The management of the variable chamber is possible thanks to a double rocker arm controlled by hydraulic rollers.  The first defines the pressure and diameter of the bale with the possibility of creating a pre-chamber at zero pressure up to 110 cm, while the second rocker arm automatically compensates for the tension of the clinched belts during the formation of the pre-chamber (0 bar). The pre-chamber system makes EXTREME series unique, providing a whole series of advantages:

• Versatility in the type of product management, also depending on the level of humidity;
• Optimal preservation of nutritional and protein qualities;
• Efficient humidity evaporation;
• Limited mold formation and abnormal fermentation.

Efficient with different types of products


In the presence of very dry product, such as straw, it is possible to use the maximum pressure (210 bar), while in the presence of slightly damp product, such as hay or alfalfa, it is appropriate to create a soft core to optimise its preservation. The possibility of managing the variable chamber, the high baling capacity and the high comfort together with the total control of the machine from the cab of the tractor make EXTREME series efficient and versatile, with any type of product and humidity.
