ORSO, available in L and XL variants, is the most high-performing model among MASCHIO GASPARDO fixed harrows, with a width of up to 4 meters and compatibility with tractors up to 300 HP. Designed for heavy-duty use, it is ideal for pairing with seeders for cereals, even on no-till and minimally worked soils. ORSO XL is equipped with an upgraded gearbox that prevents overheating and ensures consistent performance, even in challenging conditions with a high presence of stones.

HEAVY DUTY Structure
ORSO L and ORSO XL are distinguished by a highly robust double-frame structure, a hallmark of MASCHIO GASPARDO harrows. The inner thickness of 6 mm and outer thickness of 5 mm provide greater rigidity and strength without significantly increasing weight. The entire structure is made of high-strength steel, ensuring superior performance under all conditions.
Both ORSO L and ORSO XL use the same transmission body and are equipped with the POWER HUB bearing, offering long-lasting durability and enhanced stability. Additional features include the use of synthetic oil in the gearboxes and HEAVY DUTY components such as stronger knife-holder shafts and thicker blades, which are mounted on single-block forged knife holders.
Top-level quality MASCHIO GASPARDO
The transmission and working components are made from the highest quality materials using automated and high-precision production processes. The rotor shafts with knife supports are machined by turning from a single forged piece of high-strength steel. The 32 cm long knives are forged from tempered boron steel and processed on highly automated production lines. Their profile is specifically designed to maximize soil refinement under all conditions. Tungsten carbide coating for extended durability is available as an option.
RAPIDO and PLUS
The extensive standard equipment is enhanced by accessories worthy of a higher-class machine. The patented RAPIDO quick-release system enables simple and fast blade replacement using only the supplied cam. Meanwhile, the PLUS stone guard system, with its anti-clogging wedges, protects the space between the rotors from impacts or intrusions by stones or other debris that could cause blockages.
Combined or front-mounted
ORSO L (produced exclusively in the COMBI 2 version) and ORSO XL allow coupling with MASCHIO GASPARDO seeders such as DAMA PLUS, DAMA PLUS ISOTRONIC, ALIANTE, and ALITALIA ISOTRONIC. To enhance versatility, a front-mounting kit is available upon request, enabling the attachment of another implement to the rear.

POWER HUB: PATENTED BEARING UNIT FOR KNIFE SUPPORT SHAFTS
A single assembly that includes bearings and supports, offering increased load capacity and improved resistance to contamination thanks to new geometries, a series of seals, and mechanical labyrinths.
NUMBER OF ROTORS
The rotor shafts are spaced 25 cm apart (a much narrower gap compared to other competitors); the 4 rotors per meter, equipped with POWER HUB support bearings, ensure optimal seedbed preparation even on tough and clayey soils.
LOW VIBRATIONS
The specific positioning of the rotors with varied angles allows for a gradual entry into the soil, reducing power absorption, fuel consumption, and vibrations transmitted to the tractor. This results in increased component longevity and reduced maintenance.
SPRUNG SIDE SHIELDS
The side shields are spring-mounted, increasing the lateral movement of the deflectors and facilitating the discharge of excess material. The spring tension can be easily adjusted using a bolt.
GEARBOX WITH VARIABLE SPEEDS
With a quick gear change, the final rotation speed of the blades can be selected.
STONE DEFLECTOR WEDGES PLUS
Sturdy bolt-on wedges have been installed to protect the rotor and the gear containment box from collisions with stones, branches, or debris that could wrap around the shafts. The wedges can be easily removed when working in stone-free soils to improve soil flow.
QUICK BLADE RELEASE
An integrated pin in the blade holder support, removable with a dedicated tool provided, allows worn blades to be replaced in just a few seconds with maximum safety.
NEW "SHIELDED" BEARING ON REAR ROLLERS
The new "SHIELDED" (patented) bearing-hub system for the rear roller has been reinforced and uses a special polyurethane sealing ring that completely isolates the internal components from mud and dust. This ensures higher performance, increased load capacity, and reduced maintenance. Its lifespan is tripled compared to previous systems.
COMBI 2
The system, which includes parallelogram side guards (reducing transport width and the risk of equipment damage) and a close center of gravity, enables quick and easy coupling with MASCHIO GASPARDO seeding bars.
