JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO is the flagship power harrow by MASCHIO GASPARDO, featuring new mechanical innovations. It is suitable for continuous and heavy-duty use, typical of contracting and working on difficult, stony, or rocky soils. Now mechanically updated to offer a new innovative, reliable, and safe product with an attractive new design. Designed to deliver maximum performance while reducing and simplifying maintenance, JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO is equipped with a robust HEAVY DUTY frame up to 8 meters, making it the only harrow on the market compatible with tractors up to 550 HP.
JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO stands out for its particularly robust mechanics, ideal for contractors and medium to large farms that require versatile and reliable machines. Numerous improvements include the new "POWER HUB" knife support bearing assembly, the patented "BLINDATO" roller bearing, the use of synthetic oil in gearbox housings, new high-strength steel side plates, a central gearbox oil cooling system, and telescopic steel drive shaft protections. The refined soil leveling has been enhanced with the new 20 cm wider leveling bar. All these upgrades, along with the proven hardened and cemented gears, tempered knife support shafts, and HEAVY DUTY bearings, have increased refining performance and reduced maintenance requirements.
JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO is characterised by a very solid, double skin frame structure, a feature of MASCHIO GASPARDO power harrows. The internal thickness of 0.23 in and the external thickness of 0.20 in allow greater rigidity and robustness without significantly increasing the weight. Made with high-strength steels, it ensures high performance in all conditions. The use of reinforced spherical roller bearings and the fully revised gearboxes, equipped with 6 bearings, ensure high resistance over time and greater stability. The picture is completed by HEAVY DUTY equipment such as the lateral cam PTO shafts, more robust tine-holder shafts, and thicker tines that hook onto tine-holders that are single-block castings.
To ensure top performances, JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO is standard equipped with top-quality equipment. The rotor shafts with tine support are turned by a single high-strength steel forged piece. The long 12.6 in tines are forged with tempered boron steel and machined in highly automated lines. Their profile is specially designed to maximise soil refinement in all conditions. The tungsten carbide coating is provided as standard to extend its life.
The combined work between tines with tungsten carbide coating, which ensure resistance up to 3 times higher than normal tines, the gearbox cooling system make it possible to work on any soil and under any conditions, even continuously. In addition, the UP & DOWN FLOATING function, allows the hydraulic floating of the two side wings. This system is used to better follow the contours of the ground, ideal for a harrow that reaches 26.2 ft in width, especially when working on uneven or hilly terrain.
Thanks to the arrangement of the rear transport wheels, available upon request, JUMBO SUPER RAPIDO is much easier to transport and, consequently, the tractor lifter is subjected to less strain.
Unique assembly that includes bearings and supports, allowing increased load capacity and improved contamination resistance thanks to new geometries, a series of seals, and mechanical labyrinths.
The new telescopic steel plates replace the old plastic guards, resulting in increased safety, durability, and robustness for quick-access greasing. Additionally, double grease fittings are introduced on the universal joints of the side PTO shafts, making maintenance interventions even simpler and faster.
The new "BLINDATO" bearing-hub system (patented) for the rear roller has been reinforced and features a special polyurethane sealing ring that completely isolates internal components from mud and dust. Greater performance, load capacity, and reduced maintenance are ensured. The service life is tripled compared to previous models.
Compatibility with higher-powered tractors is achieved by using synthetic oil in gearbox housings to lubricate bearings and gears. The higher operating temperatures do not compromise the chemical-physical properties of the new oil.
An additional oil reservoir for the central gearbox has been integrated into the lower third point tube, slowing down the degradation of the oil properties.
The double-skinned frame (internal 6 mm, external 5 mm) increases the strength of the structure and prevents twisting without excessively increasing the weight.
Rotor shafts are spaced 10 in from each other (very narrow space compared to that of other competitors). The 4 rotors per metre ensure an excellent preparation of the seeding bed, even on tough and clayey soils.
The particular position of the rotors with diversified angles allows to gradually enter the ground, reducing the absorbed power, consumption and vibrations transmitted to the tractor. This results in longer component life and less maintenance.
Side protections are dampened on a spring, increasing the side excursion of the panels and facilitating the discharge of excess material. The spring can be easily adjusted via shear-pin.
With a rapid change of gears, it is possible to choose the final rotation speed of the tines.
The risk of overheating is minimised thanks to the presence of side wings and fans on each GEARBOX that help dissipate the heat.
The hydraulic float makes it possible to uniformly follow the undulations of the field, both upwards and downwards, obtaining uniform tillage and decreasing the efforts, both on the tractor and on the equipment.
MASCHIO GASPARDO power harrows are equipped with bearings consisting of a double series of spheres for ample resistance to impacts and heavy workloads. Main advantages: long Life (up to 30% longer life than traditional bearings), high strength and load capacity, reduced maintenance.
Robust bolted-on deflectors are installed to protect the rotor and the gear containment tank from colliding with stones, branches or strings that can twist around the shafts. The deflectors can be easily removed when working in stone-free soils and to improve soil flow.
A pin integrated in the tine holding support, removable with a special wrench supplied, allows changing the worn teeth in a few seconds and in maximum safety.
The anti-abrasion material coating (tungsten carbide) makes the boron steel tines up to 3 times more resistant to wear in the most abrasive soils.
